ABOUT US
Key Pixel is devoted to pioneering creative methods with the current trends of prosumer digital technology and online networking. Our second goal is to pioneer the Gathering of Filmers concept among independent studios worldwide, so that they, too, can come together to work effectively and yet retain their own flavor. We have previously organized a similar event in the past called the Writer's Block Media Fan Film Festival in 2003 and are looking to expand the concept further with the focus on original worlds as well as maintaining independence from established conferences and film festivals. THE EVENT The day is divided into two parts. The first set, at 11:00 am, will spotlight amateur movies with a “less-than-no-budget” ethic. We’ll begin with the theatrical premiere of our own UCF: Toronto Cybercide and continue with the comedies Fingerman The Movie and the ever-quotable Superheroes by Bryan Harley. The second set, starting in the afternoon, includes ”marginally higher than no budget” independent films, starting with the hard-hitting RECON 2020. That will be followed the Poe-esque vampire film Akai, the silent-screen adaptation of The Call of Cthulhu by the H. P. Lovecraft Historical Society and the German martial arts epic Kampfensage: Letzte Schüler. For more information, visit our site www.Key-Pixel.com. If you have any questions, e-mail Laszlo Kovacs at covax@rogers.com or Andrew Hookway at ankeho@hotmail.com. In the meantime, to find production updates, purchasing information and/or download links, go to the individual production company sites.
